Through my work I challenge capitalist logics of space/time, displacing what might appear as concrete.
I approach choreography and dance as sociopolitical embodiment practices. I materialize my work with peculiar movement language, humor, emotional depth and excrutiating detail through distinct formats; classic black box performances, choreographic treatments, performance for 3 audiences in a car, book as a dance performance, perfromance lecture and the like.
I frame my work through specific contexts e.g.; roads / driving / truck drivers in DRIVER vol I and DRIVER vol II, migration / digestion / agricultural workers in Wait, wait, (tomato), hand, air conditionig / air / bureaucracy in AIRCON, using somatopoetic strategies to document and develop language, fiction, dances, worlds. My works have been presented at venues such as Dansehallerne (DK), Sydhavn Teater (DK), Ravnedans Festival (NO), SMEEL (SLO) and implemented through different EU projects.
Alongside my artistic work I am a dance facilitator for adults with developmental disabilities, as well as professionals in the performing arts field. I am co-founder of KOMMA Performance Productions, a member driven cooperative, which supports the development, production and circulation of independent dance works and challenges normative production systems. I co-run VA11a - and interdisciplinary creative studio space in Copenhagen.
