The MISSING HOLE piece was made as a response to the concept and elements of the heroes journey. What gave the storyline a trajectory was the original wound, which could in the context of capitalist accumulation be paralleled with a sense of absence or lack. To be able to perservere in this socio-economic matrix, one must have an absence or a lack, to want to acquire; but what if one does not have absence? Paradoxically,  it seems that something which many are truly lacking is a sense of less; less work, less things (which demand work), less obligations. The hole as a symbol of absence, tries to act as a humorous portal and signifier of the problematic psychological dynamics within late stage capitalism.
